Vegas / Yosemite loop, with options

Change of plans

Well,,, Donna went into health clinic to discover that she has pneumonia...  Canceled the RV trip but hope to re-do when the weather warms.   Now the plan is to get her to fly to Vegas in two weeks to meet me there.   Will keep you posted.

Here's our RV agenda!

Should be about 1,200 miles in 7 days.   Forecast is sunny but cold.   Looking forward to the adventure.   It is now noon on Saturday.   Going to run to town for final items, load the car and then go out to dinner.

Packing day

Saturday.  Two days till adventure.  Romeo to groomer.  Last post office run.  Stocked up on wine and cash.  Went thru all the checklists.  Remarkable that it doesn't look as bad as Chevy Chase's movie...   Only thing we need yet are Folger's Singles...   Load the car tomorrow and take the afternoon off.   Seems to have gone well.

More to follow...

Things to contend with:  Temperatures next week falling into the 40's.  End of week could include "Wintry mix."    Weren't we going to be in Texas before that?

Blogging our first official journey

3:30 AM Saturday morning.   Donna was out with Gayla and came home to share thoughts and worries about the future... all good things, I think.  
we have an interesting agenda and an even more interesting mix of thoughts.  Makes for a sweet adventure.

She's exhausted from, I believe, and emotional afternoon and evening.   I can't sleep because I spent the last 5 days napping through a head cold and now energized at the prospects of the month of November for us.  Details to follow.

Foremost, we are looking forward to next week taking an RV 1,200 miles down into Arkansas, Oklahoma and back to see how we do in confined space with minimal diversions...   Me, seasoned tent traveler and her, highly experienced "vacationer."
